I’m a U.S. Citizen. Where in the World Can I Go?
For Americans eager to resume international travel, here are the countries that currently allow U.S. citizens to enter, though there may be restrictions, including vaccine requirements.

AFGHANISTAN
U.S. citizens with a valid visa may enter with a negative coronavirus test administered in the 96 hours before travel, according to the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan.

ALBANIA
Americans are allowed to enter. No coronavirus test is needed and there are no quarantine requirements, according to the U.S. Embassy in Albania.

ALGERIA
U.S. citizens with a valid visa may enter with a negative coronavirus test and a two week self-quarantine. The website for the U.S. Embassy in Algeria doesn’t specify a time frame. In order to obtain a tourist visa, proof of a hotel reservation and a $160 payment is required.

ANDORRA
Visitors arriving from France, Spain, Portugal and “green countries” are exempt from a requirement that tourists over 6 who are planning to spend three or more nights in Andorra have a negative coronavirus test in the previous 72 hours. The United States isn’t specifically named as a green country, and it is unclear how long an American would need to spend in one of the neighboring countries to qualify for its exemption.

ANGUILLA
Visitors need to apply for permission to enter. When granted, they need to have a negative PCR test taken three to five days before arrival. Additional tests will be given on arrival, and to exit. People who were fully vaccinated at least three weeks before arrival currently need to quarantine for seven days. However, on July 1, they will no longer be given an arrival test and will no longer be subject to quarantine. Others will be required to quarantine for 14 days, and will need to have insurance. Those traveling in mixed groups made up of vaccinated and unvaccinated people have to quarantine for 10 days during the month of June. While under quarantine, visitors may use some hotel amenities and certain “Safe Environment” certified restaurants and activities. Fees for visitors will be $300 for individual, plus $200 for each additional person. After July 1, mixed groups in which some are not eligible for the vaccine — for instance, children — will need the pretest and may be tested upon arrival at their own expense, but won’t need to quarantine.

ANTIGUA and BARBUDA
Air travelers over 12 must provide a certificate of a negative RT-PCR coronavirus test taken within seven days of arrival. Visitors may be required to undergo additional testing at a cost of $100 with results generally available in 48 to 96 hours. Those arriving by sea may need to quarantine.

ARMENIA
Travelers are asked to present proof of vaccination at least two weeks before arrival, or the results of a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before arrival. Alternatively, visitors can get a $40 test at the airport, and quarantine until the results are available, usually within 24 hours. Infants under 1 year are exempt from testing requirements.

AUSTRIA
Americans can enter Austria if they have first spent at least 10 days in a country with a low rate of Covid-19, which includes many of the other European countries. They must show proof of full vaccination, past infection or a negative coronavirus test in order to avoid quarantine. A PCR test needs to be no older than 72 hours before entering the country, while an antigen test cannot be older than 48 hours. Children under 10 are exempt.

AZERBAIJAN
Adult visitors may enter with proof of full vaccination or recovery from a Covid-19 infection, and a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before the flight. Those 1 to 18 need only the negative test result.

THE BAHAMAS
Visitors with proof of completing their full inoculation at least two weeks before traveling are exempt from restrictions. Unvaccinated travelers over 10 entering the Bahamas, as well as those traveling between many of the islands must obtain a negative PCR test taken no more than five days before arrival, and must take a rapid Covid-19 antigen test if they are staying for longer than four  nights. Those whose test results are older than five days will be denied entry. The visa, which costs $40 to $60 for U.S. residents, depending on the length of the vacation, includes mandatory insurance coverage. It takes up to 48 hours to process, so travelers should plan accordingly.

BAHRAIN
All tourists age 6 and older must pay $95 for PCR tests on arrival and on the tenth day in the country. For those who aren’t vaccinated, a negative test taken in the 48 hours before landing is required, and they must quarantine for 10 days at their own residence or at a government designated hotel. Some land entry is possible, which involves a testing requirement.

BANGLADESH
All incoming and outgoing passengers age 10 and older must have a negative PCR test result from within 72 hours of their flight departure. A two-week home quarantine is required, though those with symptoms will stay in an institution.

BARBADOS
All travelers over 5 must have proof of a specific type of PCR swab taken by a health-care provider in the three days before arrival. After landing, vaccinated visitors two weeks past their final shot will be given another test at their own expense and must quarantine until the result is received. Those who aren’t vaccinated don’t get their second test until the fifth day. When the in-country test comes back negative, the person can remove their monitoring bracelet and move freely.

Children under 18 who aren’t vaccinated, but who are traveling with an inoculated parent, must follow their adult’s guidelines.

BELARUS
Americans are allowed to enter, but must be able to complete a full quarantine, and will not be allowed to leave the country until it is done. Most people must plan for a 10-day period, while those in close contact with someone who tests positive for Covid-19 must quarantine for 14 days, according to the U.S. Embassy in Belarus. The embassy website says Americans must have a negative Covid-19 test to enter, but provides no additional details.

BELGIUM
The country is planning to classify the United States as either a green or orange country, but either way, travel from the United States will be permitted. Details have not yet been posted. (Those hoping to visit more than one country in Europe should note that there are restrictions for those arriving after more than 48 hours in Britain)

BELIZE
Visitors over age 5 have a choice of showing proof of full Covid-19 immunization received at least two weeks before arrival, a negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test taken within 96 hours of arrival, or a rapid test result that is no more than 48 hours old. Alternatively, testing is available at the airport for $50. Airport transfer for tourists must be with a certified provider to a Gold Standard hotel. Some land borders have reopened with their own testing requirements.

BENIN
No coronavirus pretest is required for entry, but a rapid test and a PCR test will be given upon arrival, and people staying longer than 15 days must undergo a third test. To depart, proof of a negative test in the previous 72 hours is required to enter the airport. The combined cost of the tests is about $95.

BERMUDA
Travelers must take a PCR test and obtain a negative result no more than four days before arrival. A $75 fee covers additional testing upon landing in Bermuda and on days 4, 8 and 14. Residents arriving on the island without a valid pre-arrival test are required to pay a $300 fee.

People who are vaccinated must quarantine until they obtain a negative result to their airport test. Following that they can move freely, but must still be tested on days 4, 8 and 14. If they arrived without a valid pretest, they must quarantine until a negative result to the day 4 test, and then be tested again on days 8 and 14. Unvaccinated visitors will be subject to supervised quarantine for up to 14 days in one of three designated hotels at their own expense.

For children 10 to 17, a saliva test is permitted. Some parts of the website say children 9 and younger do not have to be tested at any point, while other places say all visitors 2 and older must have a negative pre-arrival test. Nonimmunized minors assume the status of their adult companions.

BOLIVIA
Visitors over 5 must have a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before departure. A mandatory 10-day quarantine is required, with another Covid-19 test taken on the seventh day, at the traveler’s expense. Those who aren’t permanent residents must have health insurance that covers illness from the coronavirus. Minors under 18 may only travel with a parent or legal guardian.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Fully vaccinated travelers and those who have a doctor’s certificate saying that they have recovered from Covid-19 in the previous 14 to 180 days may enter without restriction. Others must have a negative result to either a PCR or antigen test taken in the previous 72 hours. Children under 7 who are accompanying a parent eligible to enter may also enter without having a test or certificate.

BOTSWANA
Americans may enter with proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, and will also be given a rapid test upon landing. To leave the country, travelers must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of their scheduled departure.

BRAZIL
Passengers over 2 must have a negative RT-PCR laboratory test taken within 72 hours before their flight. (Children under 12 are exempt if all their travel companions tested negative.) Those who want to arrive by land from neighboring countries must meet strict criteria and go directly to the airport.

BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
Those who are fully vaccinated need to provide either a negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test result or a negative antigen test taken within five days before arrival, and they also need to pay a $35 fee.

People who aren’t vaccinated or who are only partially vaccinated need the pretest, and also will receive a PCR or rapid antigen test upon landing. They need to pay a $175 fee. Travelers who aren’t vaccinated will quarantine for seven days, while those who have only received one of two inoculation shots must quarantine for four days.

When unvaccinated children travel with vaccinated adults, those 15 to 17 will be tested on arrival and again on the fourth day. Children will be released from quarantine together with their guardians, but must stay in a family bubble. Mixed groups of adults are treated as unvaccinated and need to quarantine for a week.

BULGARIA
Tourists need to present proof of vaccination completed at least 14 days before arrival, proof of having been infected with the coronavirus in the past six months, a negative result from a PCR test performed within 72 hours arrival or an antigen test performed within 48 hours of their entry into the country. Children up to age 5 are exempt.

BURKINA FASO
Visitors must present a negative PCR test upon arrival that is no more than five days old. Those arriving without will be given a rapid test at the airport at a cost of $155 and will be detained until results are available. A negative PCR test dated within five days is also required to fly out from the airport.

CAMBODIA
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that tourists must have a visa, which is only issued by Cambodian diplomatic missions and embassies abroad. The U.S. Embassy in Cambodia says it has heard that tourist visas aren’t being issued. The Foreign Ministry says travelers must have proof of a negative test for the coronavirus taken within 72 hours of departure, as well as health insurance with at least $50,000 in coverage, which can be purchased for $90.

CAYMAN ISLANDS
All travelers must have proof of a negative coronavirus test in the 72-hours before departure, and an additional test will be administered upon landing.

Vaccinated travelers may apply for a reduction of the 10-day quarantine period before travel, but otherwise need to isolate at an approved facility for 10 days, with a negative result to a test given on the 11th day required to move freely. Those who aren’t vaccinated will need to quarantine for at least 14 days, with testing done on day 15. Results normally take 24 to 72 hours.

CABO VERDE
Those entering the Republic of Cabo Verde  must  have negative results for either a rapid or PCR coronavirus test that was administered no more than 72 hours before  the departure of their flight. Some inter-island travel requires proof of a negative rapid test.

THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC
A negative coronavirus test is required to enter, followed by a 14-day quarantine.

CHAD
Entry by air is permitted, with those 11 and older required to present a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before arrival. Visitors staying longer than a week must be retested at a hospital for $30.

CHILE
For the month of June, tourists from the United States and other countries with community transmission of the coronavirus are not allowed to enter Chile.

COLOMBIA
Americans are allowed to enter without restriction, according to the U.S. Embassy in Colombia.

COSTA RICA
The country is open with no testing and no quarantine mandate, however mandatory insurance that covers medical and other expenses related to the coronavirus is required.

COTE D’IVOIRE
U.S. citizens are allowed to enter and leave by air with a negative PCR test dated within five days of arrival and departure.

CROATIA
The U.S. Embassy in Croatia and the Croatian tourism site say tourists can enter with evidence of paid accommodation and either a vaccine certificate, proof of having recovered from the coronavirus in the previous 12 to 180 days, a negative PCR test taken in the previous 72 hours, or a negative rapid antigen test taken in the previous 48 hours. Travelers entering with a rapid antigen test and staying longer than 10 days must repeat the test within 10 days of the original. Those arriving without one of the above must undergo PCR or rapid antigen testing immediately upon arrival at a cost of $40 to $150, or more, and self-isolate until a negative result is received, which may take up to two days. People who can’t undergo testing must self-isolate for 10 days, though children under 12 traveling with a parent or guardian are exempt if the parents meet the criteria.

The website for the Croatian Ministry of the Interior, however, says that those coming from so-called green countries may enter as they did before the pandemic if they are healthy. Otherwise, they need to follow the requirements outlined by the embassy. It does not specify if the United States is a green country.

CUBA
General tourism is not permitted, but Americans are allowed to visit to see family, and under certain professional and humanitarian circumstances. A negative PCR test taken less than 72 hours before arrival is required for entry. The U.S. Embassy in Cuba says on its website that another PCR test will be given at a local hospital or clinic upon landing; travelers must self-isolate until a negative result is received. Elsewhere on its website, the embassy says that visitors must isolate at a government-approved hotel for five days, then undergo another PCR test.

CYPRUS
Visitors to the Republic of Cyprus who have been vaccinated can enter without restriction, but may be selected for random testing on arrival. Those who have not been vaccinated must have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of boarding their flights, according to the Republic of Cyprus Ministry of Tourism. Children younger than 12 are exempt from testing.

CZECH REPUBLIC
People from the United States who are at least 14 days out from their final vaccination shot or who recovered from Covid-19 in the previous 180 days should be allowed to enter without restriction. Others will require a negative PCR test within 72 hours of boarding their flight, or a negative antigen test within 48 hours.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Travelers 11 and older must arrive with proof of a negative coronavirus test taken within three days of their departure. Another test will be given at the airport for $45, and people must self-quarantine until they receive a negative result, generally within 24 hours. Proof of health and medical evacuation insurance is also required.

To exit the country, travelers must present a negative test result taken within three days of planned departure, according to the U.S. Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The cost of the test is $30.

DENMARK
Americans who have completed their full vaccinations at least two weeks before traveling, and those who have recovered from a Covid-19 infection that was documented with a positive PCR test in the previous two weeks to eight months may enter without testing or quarantine, according to the U.S. Embassy in Denmark. Those who are not inoculated may enter, but must have a negative coronavirus test taken in the 48 hours before boarding their aircraft.

The Faroe Islands is allowing fully vaccinated travelers, but they will be tested upon landing and must self-quarantine until they receive a negative result. Unvaccinated travelers must self-quarantine for four days, at which point they will take another test, and if it’s negative they can move freely.

Greenland is not permitting tourism.

Those who arrive from Britain will need to comply with different entry rules.

DJIBOUTI
Visitors must have proof of a negative virus test taken within 72 hours of boarding their flight for Djibouti, and not more than 120 hours before their arrival. Upon landing, travelers are given another test at a cost of $30. Some destinations beyond the capital require a negative test certificate for entry.

DOMINICA
Travelers with either a vaccine certificate or proof of previous infection must have a negative result from a PCR test taken in the 24 to 72 hours before their flight and a notification of health clearance to travel. They must go to a quarantine hotel or a Safe in Nature-certified property, where they will be tested two days after arrival. If negative, they are cleared.

Visitors who aren’t inoculated also need to do the pretest and have the notification to travel. Upon landing, they must go to a quarantine hotel or a Safe in Nature-certified property for up to a week. A PCR test will be performed on the fifth day, and when it comes back negative, the traveler is cleared. Those arriving without the pretest will be given a rapid test upon landing. If it is positive, they will be given a PCR test and, like the others, must await the results at their accommodation. If the test is negative, they will follow the protocol for those who aren’t vaccinated.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Authorities randomly administer a quick breath test to between 3 and 15 percent of arriving passengers over 5 and to those who show symptoms. Through July 30, tourists arriving on commercial flights and staying at a hotel will be given free health insurance for Covid-19 exposure. The Ministry of Tourism is making viral antigen testing within 72 hours of departure available to visitors staying at hotels who need to meet the protocols needed for return to the United States. There may be a fee attached.

DUTCH CARIBBEAN
Aruba is open with a requirement that those 15 and older have a negative result to a test within 72 hours of departure, or pay $75 to have a PCR test taken at the airport upon landing. Those who take the test in Aruba must wait at their lodgings for the results, generally available within a day. All visitors must purchase mandatory insurance that costs between $10 and $30, depending on the age of the traveler. Visitors who tested positive using a molecular nasal swab test two to 12 weeks before their arrival, and are asymptomatic, are exempt from the pretest requirement. Proof of vaccination is not a substitute for testing.

Bonaire: As of June 24, there are no travel restrictions for tourists from the United States. Until then, visitors 13 and older must have a negative nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) taken in the 24 hours before arrival, or alternatively, a traveler can take a PCR test within 72 hours of arrival and follow that up with an antigen rapid test on arrival. Those who are vaccinated still need to comply with the testing requirements.

Curaçao is open to those with a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure, who also need to reserve and pay for an antigen test to be taken on the third day of their visit. Insurance is required. Children 6 and under are exempt from testing if they don’t show symptoms of the coronavirus and if their parents or caretakers can show proof of a negative PCR test.

Saba requires preapproval. Americans over 10 must show a negative coronavirus test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. Fully vaccinated visitors do not need to quarantine, however, others must for five days, with an additional PCR test before release. Children 2 to 10 will be given a nasal rapid antigen test upon arrival and all visitors under 18 must take a rapid antigen test on the fifth day. Unvaccinated minors do not need to strictly quarantine, but must avoid certain institutions like schools and day care facilities. Travelers must have medical insurance that covers Covid-19 hospital expenses, including medevac.

St. Eustatius is open to those who preregister at least 72 hours before arrival. A negative NAAT test is required within 72 hours of departure for those age 12 and older. Unless someone has been in a low-risk country for the two weeks preceding travel, a mandatory 10-day quarantine is in effect, with a free antigen test performed on the 10th day. A negative result is required to leave quarantine.

Sint Maarten, which is Dutch, and French St. Martin are primarily entered through Princess Juliana Airport on the Dutch side. Visitors over 10 need a negative result to a PCR test taken in the five days before departure or to an antigen swab test performed in the two previous days. Insurance is also mandatory. Those staying on the French side need a negative PCR test in the previous 72 hours. As of July 1, travelers from the United States need a negative nasopharyngeal swab within 72 hours before departure, or alternatively, a negative antigen test within 48 hours.

ECUADOR
Visitors over 2 must have either completed their full inoculation, have a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 at least a month earlier, or present proof of a negative PCR or antigen test taken no more than three days before entry. Those 14 and older may be subject to random rapid antigen testing at the airport at their own expense; if positive, the traveler must quarantine 10 days at a government shelter.

Those visiting the Galápagos Islands need proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 96 hours before arrival. It can be the same as the test used to enter Ecuador, but if the time frame doesn’t fit, the traveler will need to be tested in Ecuador at their own expense and wait at their lodgings for the results.

EGYPT
Americans age 6 and older are allowed to enter Egypt with written documentation of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 96 hours of arrival, however, there have been reports of those with tests older than 72 hours being denied entry. Proof of health insurance is required, according to the U.S. Embassy in Egypt. Travelers to Sharm el Sheikh are allowed to arrive without a PCR test, but they must be tested upon arrival and quarantine until a negative test result is received.

EL SALVADOR
Those who have completed their full coronavirus vaccination protocol do not need to present a pretest, but passengers should confirm that it is also their airline’s policy. People who are unvaccinated must show a printed negative RT-PCR test result that was received within 72 hours of departure.

ESTONIA
U.S. tourists may enter with no restrictions.

ETHIOPIA
U.S. citizens over age 10 must have proof of a negative PCR test taken within five days of arrival, and must also quarantine for seven days, according to the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia.

FRANCE
France is open to vaccinated visitors who can show proof that they are at least two weeks past the second dose of the Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines, and four weeks past the single dose of Johnson & Johnson. Those who aren’t vaccinated need to present a negative coronavirus or antigen test conducted within the 72 hours before departure. Children under 11 are treated as vaccinated regardless of their actual status. Those 11 through 17 are treated as vaccinated if they are accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent or guardian. The U.S. Embassy in France says it doesn’t yet know what France will consider as sufficient proof of vaccination, but the French Consulate General in Washington said in a tweet that the C.D.C. card would be acceptable.

FRENCH POLYNESIA
Vaccinated travelers and children under 18 traveling with them can enter with proof of a negative PCR test taken in the three days before arrival, and no quarantine requirement. An antigen test will be given upon arrival. Unvaccinated children arriving in this manner must also take tests on their fourth and eighth day in the country.

Unvaccinated travelers may not enter for tourism unless they are arriving from a “green” country, which includes the United States, where they have spent at least the previous 15 day. It’s unclear from either the U.S. Embassy website or the Tahiti tourism website what requirements those unvaccinated arrivals from a green country will face, but it may require authorization from the High Commissioner. They may also need a negative pretest, an antigen test upon arrival, additional tests on days four and eight, and a 10-day quarantine.

FRENCH WEST INDIES
St. Barts is open to fully vaccinated travelers, with an exemption for those under 18. Those 11 and older must have a negative PCR test in the 72 hours before their departure, or a negative antigen test taken in the 48 hours before arrival.

St. Martin: See See Sint Maarten under Dutch Caribbean.

Guadeloupe and Martinique are open to fully vaccinated travelers with a negative PCR test in the 72 hours before their departure, or a negative antigen test taken in the 48 hours before departure. Unvaccinated tourists are barred from entry.

GABON
Visitors are allowed to enter with proof of a negative virus test taken in the five days before arrival. A PCR test will be given upon landing at a cost of about $35, and travelers must quarantine until a negative result is obtained. A negative test taken in the prior two weeks is required to travel between cities and provinces in Gabon.

GAMBIA
A negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival is required to bypass a mandatory 14-day quarantine at the traveler’s expense at a government-designated facility. A rapid test is also given to passengers upon landing.

GEORGIA
People with proof of having received two Covid-19 vaccine inoculations are admitted without restriction. Unvaccinated U.S. citizens may enter with proof of a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before flying, and must get another PCR test at their own expense three days after entering the country. Anyone arriving without a certificate or test may be placed in mandatory quarantine at their own expense for an undetermined period of time.

GERMANY
Visitors 6 and older must either have proof that they are at least 14 days from their last shot for full vaccination, or that they were infected with Covid-19 in the previous 28 days to six months. Others may enter with a negative PCR test in the 72 hours before their arrival, or a negative antigen test taken in the previous 48 hours. Those traveling through Britain may transfer from one flight to another, but otherwise are barred from entry.

GHANA

GREECE
Fully vaccinated tourists two weeks from their last shot can enter without restriction, as can those who show proof of having recovered from a Covid-19 infection in the previous two to nine months. Other visitors 5 and older need a negative test taken in the 72 hours before arrival. Some passengers will be subject to rapid tests at the airport.

GRENADA
A negative PCR test taken in the previous 72 hours is required of all visitors over 5. Those who are vaccinated need to have approved accommodation for at least two nights in order to quarantine while awaiting the results of a $150 PCR test that is given upon landing. People who aren’t inoculated need a reservation for at least a week, and must quarantine pending a negative result to a test given on day five. Medical insurance that covers illnesses related to the coronavirus is mandatory.

Arriving tourists will be tested at the border and must quarantine at home or at a free quarantine facility while awaiting results.

IRAN
U.S. citizens may enter with proof of a negative PCR test taken in the previous 96 hours. Only infants younger than 2 are exempt from the testing.

IRAQ

Americans may enter with a negative test for the coronavirus taken in the 72 hours before departure. Those traveling to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region need a negative PCR result within 48 hours of travel, or they will be tested at the airport at their own expense.

Authorities are asking nonessential travelers not to visit the Republic of Ireland. Passengers over 6 must show a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before arrival in order to board their aircraft or ferry. A mandatory 14-day self-quarantine is required for those arriving from the United States. It can be shortened with a negative RT-PCR test result taken at least five days after arrival.

Starting July 19, as long the European Union hasn’t pulled the so-called “emergency brake” on travel to bar countries with variants, those with proof of having completed their vaccinations will not require testing or quarantine. People who are not vaccinated will need to present proof of a negative PCR test in the 72 hours before arrival, and will need to self quarantine and undergo post-arrival testing.

If the “emergency brake” is activated, then those who have been vaccinated will need a negative PCR test in the 72 hours before arrival, be required to self quarantine and undergo additional testing. Tourists who aren’t vaccinated would need the pre- and post-testing, but their quarantine would be a hotel.

ISRAEL
The country will start reopening to individual vaccinated tourists on July 1, the Tourism Minister announced on Twitter. Details have not yet been announced.

For now, some vaccinated tour groups have resumed trips. They must provide a negative molecular or rapid antigen test taken within 72 hours of entering the country, and they also need to take a serological test to prove their vaccination upon arrival. Unless the person arrived on a Covid-tested flight, a 10-day quarantine is required, followed by another Covid-19 test.

ITALY
Travelers must provide a negative molecular or rapid antigen test taken within 72 hours of entering the country. Unless the person arrived on a Covid-tested flight, a 10-day quarantine is required, followed by another test. Until July 30, those arriving via Britain must self-isolate for five days, and then receive a negative test before release. Those arriving from Britain without a pretest increase that to a 10-day period.

The rules for entry into Italy are also in effect for visitors to Vatican City.

JAMAICA
Tourists 12 and older, even those who are vaccinated, need a negative test that was taken within three days of travel. Additional tests may be given at the airport. Those staying in the “resilient corridor” may travel between hotels and certain attractions with approved transportation providers, while people staying outside of the corridor must quarantine for 14 days.

JORDAN
All visitors require a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before arrival. Vaccinated travelers don’t need additional testing, but those who aren’t inoculated require a second $40 test that will be done upon landing. Children under 5 are exempt from testing. Health insurance that covers Covid-19 is required for nonnationals.

KENYA
Passengers must have a negative PCR test taken in the 96 hours before arrival, but those from the United States do not need to quarantine.

A negative coronavirus test is not needed to enter the country, but may be required by some airlines for boarding. Those with a negative PCR test taken in the previous 72 hours can bypass a seven-day quarantine.

KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
Those with proof of vaccination may enter without restriction. Others need a negative PCR test taken in the previous 72 hours. If the time frame is exceeded because of flight delays, another test must be taken upon arrival at the traveler’s expense. Children under 5 are exempt from testing or vaccination requirements.

LATVIA
Travelers with vaccination certificates from the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Britain may enter without restriction, but those inoculated in the United States and those over 11 who aren’t vaccinated need a negative coronavirus test administered within 72 hours of arrival to enter. MALTA
Visitors from about three quarters of the states are allowed to enter Malta with a negative result to a PCR test taken in the 72 hours before arrival. If they land without the pretest, they will be tested at the airport or be subjected to a 14-day quarantine. Those arriving from the other states can only enter if they first spend 14 days in one of the “corridor” countries on the “amber” list and submit proof of a negative PCR test carried out in the 72 hours before arrival. It’s unclear if the amber states suffice as a corridor location.

As of June 17, the amber states were: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Starting July 1, fully vaccinated passengers arriving after having spent 14 days in an amber corridor country in the European Union may enter without restriction. Passengers arriving after two weeks in an amber corridor country that isn’t in the European Union still need a pretest.

PORTUGAL
Tourists over the age of 24 months are allowed to enter with proof of a negative coronavirus test taken in the pervious 72 hours, or a negative rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours of boarding.
