Below is the annexation for the town of Monroe, Mike Donnelly and his recommendation. The Town Bd will get sued AGAIN. It will cost the taxpayer their own $$ AGAIN. In Stopping the 164 acre annexation United Monroe and Cardone/MCginn GAVE all to some and none to the rest of us in Monroe.
Now it is time to watch your taxes rise. But good news, if you live outside of KJ;s border in the Village of Monroe your homes are being sold ABOVE asking. For the rest of the 90%in Monroe its the opposite.
Anyway, enjoy the read, and see why these landowners are screwed. They gave United Monroe their 2500 votes and got land back worth LESS than it was before.
Don't take my word for.. see what Mike Donnelly has to say.

Subject: KJ Annexation Court Conference Report
I participated in a telephone conference with Judge Walsh yesterday. As I suspected, the annexation landowner petitioners are not willing to sign either stipulation of discontinuance at this time. Steven Barshov, on their behalf, wishes an opportunity to meet with representatives of Preserve Hudson Valley and the town to discuss the matter. The court has set a further conference for December 21st for PHV and the town to report on their willingness to attend such a meeting. Judge Walsh seems inclined to grant a motion to discontinue if Barshov does not change his position. A motion would also need to be made by the Village of Kiryas Joel in the appellate division to discontinue the 507-acre overall public interest proceeding pending there.
I am sure that Barshov’s clients want to discuss further adjustments to the density provision governing the land they own. I doubt that the town—having just adjusted its master plan and zoning chapter—is inclined to make such an adjustment. However, talk is cheap. Our willingness to meet might help to keep us in Judge Walsh’s good graces.
